ACHIEVEMENTS
Deptt of Neurosurgery is taking care of not only trauma patients but also different types of brain & spine pathologies.In the
year 2023, about twenty one thousand patients consulted in outdoor, 1262 patients were managed in indoor (including
OPD admissions and transfer in from emergency/ trauma services). 579 surgeries were performed in the same period.
Department is equipped with state of the art equipments like Carl Zeiss Pentero microscope, Philips VERADIUS C Arm,
Medtronic drill, Integra CUSAetc.
Neurosurgery department is performing challenging and critical surgeries like –
- Vascular Neurosurgery – Brain aneurysms, brain hemorrhages, AVMs (Arterivenous malformations)
- Brain and spine tumours
- Complex cranivertebral junction anomalies (like AAD)
- MISS (minimally invasive spine surgeries)
- Pediatric neurosurgery
- We will soon start neuroendoscopy and functional neurosurgery.
Department is trying to get MCh Neurosurgery courses recognition in days to come.
