ACHIEVEMENTS
- Organized National level CME on topic "Negligence and CoPrA: A Kaleidoscopic insight into the Legal and Medical Dilemma”.
- Conducted a 5 day, District Level Training of Medical Officers in co-ordination with CMO Office, on topic “Post-Mortem Examination and Related Issues”
- Conducted a Self-Directed Learning (SDL) cum Integrated teaching & learning by undergraduate students of Batch-2021, in collaboration with Department of Pharmacology & Forensic Medicine of Zydus Medical College and Hospital, Dahod (Gujarat), on the topic “Alcohol & Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD)”
- Published more than 15 research publications in national and international journals
- Have taken up Autopsies of Unknown/Unclaimed bodies and conducted over 900 Post mortem Examination in the past 3 years
- Faculties of the department have been members of various expert panels formed by the state in major high profile medio-legal cases
- Initiated a collaboration with Pathology department in receiving and handling autopsy specimens, for Forensic Histopathology. with the aim to develop a fully functional Forensic Histopathology in the near future
- Have renovated the Departmental Museum, to act as source for UG and PG education
