- Department got permission to start MD course for 2 seats in the year 2020 , which is likely to be increased to 5 seats in the next academic

- Inauguration of ATF center (Addiction Treatment Facility) in the department under ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan’ by Hon’ble Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment via virtual mode on 8th February
- Department has 40 bedded in-patient facility and OST center (Opioid Substitution Therapy) which caters to nearly 400-500 intravenous drug
- M-ECT (Modified Electroconvulsive Therapy), Biofeedback machines are available in the department. Very shorty the novel treatment modality rTMS(Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) facility will be started in the department
- Department has 20 psychological testing tools for assessment of patients
